The role will provide the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the workings of the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN) and our proprietary technology to support our Search Engine Optimization practice.

As a member of this Agile Software Development team you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement and advancement of features of the product.

We support and provide high-end end MacOSX, Linux, or Windows developer machines, monitors, and an open and agile work environment. Develop test driven, high quality Java based web applications according to technical designs and user specificationsLearn and follow software development best practicesContinually add to your knowledge of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) principles and techniquesFollow and encourage Agile software development best practices and evolve those practices with your teamWork closely with fellow developers and end users to rapidly produce critical featuresDevelop the skills necessary to expand your role on the team1-4 years of experience developing web applications with Java (JEE)Agile Software Development (Scrum, XP, Agile UP, etc) or the strong desire to learn the processStruts, Spring, or similar MVC frameworkExperience with open source databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc)Hands on experience with a source control tool such as Git or SubversionFundamentals of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XMLStrong verbal and written communication skillsBS in Computer Science or equivalent level of experienceExperience in following a plus: TDD principals such as writing tests first, running continuous automated tests, and mockingKnowledge of Data Warehousing and reportingPerl, Ruby, Groovy, PHP, or similar interpreted languageLinux/Unix/BSD operating system usage and command line familiarityPrinciples and techniques used in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and web analytics
