Financial Analyst-Established Retail Organization (Chicago)

More infoOur client is an established retail organization based in the Chicagoland area. Due to growth within their company, the finance team is looking to hire a Financial Analyst. This person will report to the Director of Finance, and will be responsible for tasks relating to budgeting and forecasting at both the corporate and business unit level.
RESPONSIBILTIES
Assists in the analysis of financial data and extract relevant information
Interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
Assist with capital investment projects by tracking costs, review costs and perform cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs throughout respective lifecycles
Assist in identifying appropriate allocation of costs for projects performed for other departments.
Maintain department budgets, tracks actual vs. budgeted.
Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems.
Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
Interface with Finance departments, (accounts payable, financial planning and purchasing).
Ad-hoc projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
2-5 years of corporate fp&a experience required
Bachelors degree in finance or accounting required
MBA preferred
