POSITION REPORTS TO: Controller LOCATION:

DEPARTMENT: Accounting

1) PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

To perform Accounts Payable activities, and perform General Accounting activities which includes and is not limited to account reconciliations, journal entries, backup for Accounts Receivable and other related areas.

2) MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
? A/P
o Vouchering of invoices
o Determination of payment schedule per Company policy, proactive communication with vendors
o Expense report processing
o Check printing and ACH processing
o Cash Reporting as required
? General Accounting
o Monthly closing entries
o Assist with monthly financials' model; input, review, comments
o Financial analysis of specific accounts
o Assist with Physical Inventory reporting and compilation
o Backup for Accounts Receivable and other related areas
o Assistance, as required, with Budgets
o Assistance with providing information for various audits during the year

3) KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Experience:
? Minimum 7-10 years accounting experience within a small to mid-sized manufacturing environment.
? Ability to handle multiple activities within an environment that can quickly 'switch gears'.

Education: B.A in Accounting

4) CONTACTS:
Internal Contacts: Accounting, Operations including plant management and staff, Sales
External Contacts: Suppliers, independent auditors

5) MAJOR CHALLENGES:
? Processing and reporting on a tight schedule.
? Interacting with outside vendors.
? Reconciliations of accounts.

6) SUPERVISION/ DIRECT REPORTS:
None

8) DECISION MAKING:
? Initial recommendations as to the timing of the check processing.
? Other decisions which are required in the reconciliation of accounts and the assistance in reporting and special projects.
