More infoDo you have a friendly, outgoing personality and a good work ethic? Are you ready to meet people and experience beautiful scenery? If so, we look forward to receiving your application.

The Yorktown, accommodating 138 guests and 38 crewmembers, enjoys an atmosphere of warm and relaxed informality and a crew dedicated to providing top quality guest service. Able to maneuver in secluded waterways and visit small ports that are inaccessible to larger vessels, the Yorktown offers an opportunity to experience small-towns along the waterways of the U.S., Canada and Central America.

Work schedules revolve around the vessel's year-round operation. Crew travel and live onboard the vessel during their rotation, working 6-8 continuous weeks. Transportation home is provided (48 states) for 2-4 weeks unpaid vacation following each rotation. (Rotation dependent on position.) Time spent onboard is consistent of a 12 hour workday, 7 days a week.

Your application requires a clear understanding as to your year-long availability.

Crewmembers are provided subsidized travel to and from the vessel from approved airports in the contiguous Unites States. The company provides room and board during each crewmember's scheduled work rotation. Living on a vessel is a unique experience and crew cabins are, out of necessity, very small. Typically two crewmembers will share a cabin containing bunk beds, a small personal locker, a desk and a full bathroom. While on vacation from the vessel, crew must cover all their personal living and transportation costs.

All crewmembers are required to possess a TWIC (Transportation Workers' Identification Credential). A pre-employment physical examination, background screening and drug test are required. Due to international travel and clearing customs, all crewmembers must have a valid passport. Additionally, all crew are subject to random drug testing and time during a working rotation is 100% alcohol free for all crew.

Jobs on cruise ships are extremely challenging. If you're looking for a "personal vacation," a position onboard the Yorktown would not work for you or for us.
