Residential Real Estate Inspectors Needed (Northern Cook County)

More infoChicago-based inspection company is seeking part-time, independent contractors to perform security and compliance inspections on residential properties, in addition to other inspection, reporting and digital photography services.

Currently, we are seeking inspectors to perform assignments ONLY in the following areas:

Northeast Cook County -- North of I-290 and East of I-294
Northern Cook County -- Schaumburg/Arlington Heights/Wheeling areas

We will be considering multiple part-time contractors as work is typically only assigned within a 10-15 mile radius of where you live. For example, if you live in Tinley Park, we will not consider you for assignments in Evanston. Most assignments are time-sensitive and require some knowledge of the area.

Requirements for this job include the following:

1. Must be willing or able to work as an independently contracted 1099 employee
2. Must provide own reliable transportation, fuel and mobile phone
3. Must provide own digital camera with date/time stamping capabilities
4. Must have home computer or laptop with internet access for access to our online assignment system

Any applicants with experience or knowledge of residential real estate inspections (i.e. appraisers, home inspectors, real estate agents) will be considered first. No specific certification or licensing is required to perform these assignments, however, ride-along and phone training is required. All contractors are paid per assignment on a scale based on the inspection type performed. Full-time positions are currently not available.
