EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Illinois LPN or RN license REQUIRED.
Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

English fluency -- speaking, reading, and writing.
Maintain confidentiality according to HIPPA guidelines at all times.

REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES

Fluent in English -- speaking, reading, and writing.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required by BrightStar guidelines as well as the ability to respond professionally and appropriately on behalf of BrightStar.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties according to LPN and RN licensure
Directs, initiates, and implements patient care plan
Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examination
Takes and records vital signs
Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
Initiates patient education plan
Assists in bathing, dressing, transferring, walking, ADLs
Provide injections at flu clinics

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Successful candidates will be required to submit to post-offer, pre-employment Physical Examination, Drug Screening, Background Check
Successful candidates will be required to submit annual Physical Examinations and TB Test Results
Successful candidates must submit verification of AHA Certified CPR Training and Certification
Must be able to lift/transfer patients may be required.
