POSITION: Project Manager (Financial Services)
DEPARTMENT: Project Management Office
LOCATION: Chicago

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the assigned projects. The candidate will implement project methodology and coordinate all event stages with minimal direct supervision. Please note this is a business project manager not technical position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
? Delivery of overall project(s) as assigned.
? Facilitate and lead project team towards project goal(s).
? Define and achieve project objectives by effectively managing schedule, scope, quality, risk and project resources of assigned projects.
? Create and maintain project documentation throughout project lifecycle.
? Schedule and facilitate all project conference calls, both internal and external calls with clients.
? Meet weekly with project team to confirm completion of required activities and communicate crucial details of upcoming events in project cycle.
? Serve as a single point of contact between the client and other Envestnet project team members.
? Management of escalations and critical path items to ensure project completion.
? Partner with Envestnet stakeholders and clients to ensure a successful transition to production.
? Assist with special or larger projects as assigned.
? Provide thought leadership in continuing development of project management process and client on-boarding experience.
? Continue to expand project management skill set by partnering with other PMO members to increase knowledge of best practices and project tools.

REQUIREMENTS
? Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience required.
? Minimum three (3) years of experience in the securities brokerage / managed accounts sector of financial services.
? Minimum two (2) years of experience in a project management role.
? Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
? Must be able to communicate with others in a concise, productive, persuasive and professional manner.
? Must be able to comprehend and act on information communicated via various methods including but not limited to verbally and via email from internal & external resources.
? Must be flexible, well organized, and assertive in order to complete multiple tasks and meet the demands placed on his/her time.
? Must be capable of gathering information from various sources to assist in critical decision making.
? Prior work with external clients, preferably in a project management capacity.
? Demonstrates the ability to work under pressure.
? Must be able to adjust to changing priorities.
? Works well as a member of a team with collaborative decision making.
? Must demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy and be able to work with a variety of personalities.
? Must be creative and have the ability to operate and take initiative with little or no direction.
? Must possess highly developed reasoning capacity and good judgment.
? Expert with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
? Prior experience with Microsoft Project and Visio.
? Knowledge of project management methodology.
? PMP Certification is a plus.
