The ideal candidate for this position will have five plus years of accounting / billing experience, an associate's degree in accounting with the understanding of Professional Billing practices in a CPA or Law Firm. You should already have a strong desire to learn and grow, and possess strong communication and organization skills. Most importantly you must be interested in enjoying the work you do while bringing benefits to our clients and your fellow professionals.
We are looking for someone interested in working part-time throughout the year -- of course increased hours in tax season (within reason) are part of the program. No overtime is required. We do a "job-share" program to allow staff to "cross-train" to learn new skills.
Job Description:
Process and transmit "approved" billings to clients
Application of clients' payments
Verify new clients' contact information into the billing system
Keeping contact information up to date
Schedule and follow up with Account Managers
Documentation of time edit and billing processes
Adjustments to receivables and WIP
Update existing procedure manuals
Verify and transmit payroll hours recap for outside payroll service twice per month
Obtain signed acceptance letters and file them
Process client billing questions and issues
Core Competencies:
Detail oriented, methodical, organized, analytical, and proficient in Microsoft - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Client Contact Experience, good phone personality
Collection Process understanding
Filing and Organizational Skills
UNIX Platform experience (a plus)
You must be a team player, self starter, and work well under pressure with a willingness to learn our business. You must smile constantly.
Office hours are 9-5, but yours will be flexible to fit your school schedule.
Minimum of 20 hours per week -- no overtime required.
