Description:
We are a well-established medical clinic seeking a long-term candidate to be our receptionist/office assistant who can be trained in all areas in which our clinic functions. Part-Time and Full-Time Available.

We are looking for a professional and intelligent employee to join our growing medical practice in Sycamore, IL. The candidate must be focused, motivated, reliable, punctual and able to adhere to all company policies and rules. The individual must be a team player and have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks promptly and efficiently!

The ideal person is someone who is responsible, committed, dependable, energetic, compassionate, flexible, and a quick learner. Basic computer skills (MS Office, etc) is a must since we run on an EMR. The person has to be comfortable communicating on the phone and in person. You should have the ability to collaborate with a team that is dedicated to improving the health of their patients.

Front Office Duties
? You will have full responsibility of the flow of patients
? You will assist with patient scheduling in an efficient manne
? Understand the patient check-in and check-out procedures
? Learn to process insurance approvals, basic income logs, accurate financial transactions
? Opening and Closing of the office with the associated processes as needed
? Assisting with all key administrative duties as requested such as documentation, filing, word documents, power-point, mailing, faxing & general duties.
? Support clinical functions to prepare patient for examination or procedure.
? Collect data to support the initial patient assessment including taking vital signs.
? Conduct a standardized patient interview per office protocol.
? Alert physicianto any patient complaints, especially those that are life threatening and abnormal vital signs.
? Provide patient education as directed by a physician regarding treatment, special diets, medication, follow-up diagnostic tests and healthy lifestyle information.
? Call pharmacy refills and patient callbacks as directed by office protocol and as directed by a physician.
? Document all calls, correspondence and encounters with patient within established guidelines.

Direct Patient-Care Functions:
? Perform procedures and treatments, within the scope of their training and experience, as ordered by the physician following established protocols and appropriately documents outcomes in the patient record.
? Follow established protocols in obtaining, preparation and transport of specimens for diagnostic tests as ordered by the physician and using universal precaution guidelines.
? Follow established protocols to report and document diagnostic tests as directed by the physician, within the scope of their training and experience.

Education/Experience:
Graduate of a medical assistant program. One-year previous experience as a medical assistant, outpatient setting preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Proficiency with medical terminology required. Must learn how to use EMR. Must understand basic medical billing.

Licenses/Certification:
CMA /RMA program (For Medical Asst Position)
Basic Life Support (Recommended)
