ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Incorporated in 1950, The Penray Companies continue to grow strong after 60 years of service in the heavy-duty and automotive chemical industry. There are two main plants where we manufacture both liquids and aerosol products located in Elk Grove Village and Wheeling Illinois.

THE POSITION:
We are currently seeking a full time Maintenance Mechanic for our Wheeling Facility.

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic will keep all production equipment in good working order so production personnel can attain maximum output. The Maintenance Mechanic will also make minor repairs to the building and related areas as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

?Maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
?Report any and all parts and material needs to Supervisor.
?Report any machine malfunctions or breakdowns to the Supervisor in a timely fashion.
?Must perform physical and visual inspections of equipment per PM guidelines.
?Constantly evaluate equipment and make recommendations to improve productivity.
?Recommend equipment replacement as necessary.
?Fabricate parts as needed using a lathe, mill, etc.
?Troubleshoot, repair electrical problems
?Facilities maintenance including, painting, replacing light bulbs, filter replacement, carpentry, construction, installing machinery and equipment, etc.
?Work as a team player with all departments.

REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate can troubleshoot electrical problems and possess knowledge of explosion proof electrical requirements. Working knowledge and troubleshooting skills of HVAC, machinery, welding, fabricating parts, etc. Requires the ability to operate mechanical tools. Requires a basic knowledge of filling/aerosol procedures and general safety rules. Must have own tools.

Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move more than 100 pounds with the assistance of a hoist.
