HealthFitness has a great opportunity for an Contract IT Project Manager at our Lake Forest, Illinois corporate office location. The position will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of project phases to full life cycle project management, providing strategic direction for software development including scoping, objectives, estimating, design, analysis, feasibility studies, budget, timelines/scheduling and monitoring as well as providing overall project leadership for quarterly releases and all other committed deliverables.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
?Coordinate requirement gathering meetings with business analysts and internal Subject Matter Experts (SME) to drive Health Fitness' quarterly project release schedule.
?Execute and monitor a change request process that meets business needs short and long term.
?Facilitate client/internal customer acceptance testing and sign-off verifying completion of implementation and release to production, and transfer account information and support responsibilities to appropriate internal customer and/or stakeholder.
?Provide ongoing regular communication vehicle for internal and external customers to access quarterly releases, software project status, highlighting key issues and changes from original plan.
?Listen and understand customer priorities and requirements and actively lead toward the successful completion of deliverables.
?Manage customer requirements, provide scoping, scope management, develop project document and execute the project plan.
?Evaluate and define appropriate ownership responsibilities for projects.
?Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports.
?Manage the integration of outsourced vendors and review their deliverables.
?Ensure best practice project management methodologies and processes as well as implementing quality and change control procedures.
?Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Education, Experience and Certifications:
?Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems, or related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
?2 or more years of Software Development or Data Warehouse Project Management experience.
?Experience in researching and writing business requirements. Experience creating or improving business processes and workflows.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
?Excellent analytical ability, facilitative, consultative, communication skills and strong judgment.
?Working knowledge of phases of the product life cycle, including engineering specifications, customer requirements gathering, software design and development, testing - including unit, functional, systems and integration, implementation/delivery and maintenance.
?Interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate team efforts, provide guidance and direction to team members, and communicate project objectives, parameters, status, and outcomes.
?Project management skills to develop and monitor work agreements and budgets, determine specifications, schedules, timelines, and define deliverables.
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical skills.
?Thorough knowledge of MS Project and MS Visio applications.
?A proven track record of successful project implementation in a software development or data warehouse environment.
