Title of Position: Dishwasher

General Purpose:

Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty to clean dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment and/or utensils.

Qualifications

1. Ability to exercise good judgment. Must appear for scheduled shifts in a timely manner.
2. Must be able to communicate in English and understand information using verbal, written, and listening skills.
3. At least 18 years of age or older.

Essential Duties

1. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
2. Polish all silverware, platters and chaffing dishes as necessary.
3. Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
4. Cleans and maintains dishwashing machine daily.
5. Understanding of proper use and maintenance of all major kitchen equipment including stoves, refrigeration, slicer, mixer, knives and dish machine.
6. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
7. Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
8. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. Examine garbage for mistakenly dropped silverware, dishes, glassware, etc
9. Sweep and scrub floors.
10. Assist in prep projects, as needed.
11. Meet dress and grooming standards maintaining professional appearance. Must provide own uniform daily

Safety, Health and Loss Control

1. Be familiar with the Employee Safety Manual.
2. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area to prevent food borne illness.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

1. Other assigned duties as specified by supervisor, to include assisting in food preparation, putting away deliveries, cleaning coolers/freezers/storerooms.

Hours:
32-36 hrs per week
Days, nights, weekends & holidays

Salary:
$8.25 per hr
