Busy medical multidisciplinary clinic seeks professional front desk receptionist for chiropractic, family medicine, walk-in medical, and acupuncture/physical therapy/dietitian services for premium professional integrated health clinic downtown Toronto.

Staff and patient base mostly young professional. Fully computerized clinic. Candidates must have strong computer skills.

Position Details:

- Permanent, full time position available starting March 2013. [candidate must be ready to start training immediately]
- Hours: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday to Thursday; 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Friday, with rotating Saturdays 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Responsible for the front desk customer service, patient intake, reception of a health centre to ensure both a smoothly functioning office and excellent patient relations. This position involves working with others in a team environment. Professional, friendly and healthy appearance and demeanor at all times is important since, as a front desk receptionist, you will be representing the company. Effective multi-tasking and professional communication are imperative.

Essential Job Functions:
- Reception for a medical, chiropractic, massage therapy clinic with multiple health practitioners.
- Welcome new and existing patients and visitors, in a very friendly, welcoming, approachable manner
- Operate point of sale transaction terminal for accepting cash, credit and debit payments.
- Schedule patients for treatments, laboratory tests, medical examinations, and consultations.
- Relay information to patients regarding preparation for laboratory tests and examinations.
- Maintain familiarity with OHIP insured services, as well as extended health and Motor Vehicle Accident Claims and OCF forms.
- Inform patients of costs of care being provided, and guides them to appropriate resources for further information, guidance, or assistance.
- Answer telephone, screens callers, relays messages
- Open, sort and screen mail.
- Operate computer to access electronic medical records, schedules and other basic office support software.
- Use automated systems to access, enter, and edit patient information.
- Maintaining clinic, i.e. very minor laundry and tidying when necessary

Qualifications:
-Strong computer multi-tasking skills are mandatory
- Attention to detail is critical
- Must be able to work well without constant supervision
- Must be professional, friendly, approachable and welcoming
- Complete fluency of the English language, including excellent spelling and grammar

Experience:
- Strong computer skills and organizational skills are required.
- Customer service experience is required
- Excellent multi-tasking computer and phone experience is required.
- Familiarity with our health services offered (eg. chiropractic profession) is an asset.
- Experience in a previous chiropractic office reception position is a strong asset
- Familiarity with MVA Motor Vehicle Accident Health Claim OCF forms and HCAI billing is a strong asset.
- University undergraduate education is a strong asset.
