The Director of Accounting role reports to the CFO and is responsible for the financial reporting, budget preparation, processing of accounts payable and payroll, maintenance of capital asset master file, preparation of cost report work papers and other regulatory reports, annual audit, utilization of financial computer applications, monitor compliance and internal controls, participate in revenue cycle improvements, analysis of and compliance with various contracts, review and recommend improvements to internal controls, and investment management.

Director of Accounting Responsibilities:
General Accounting, Budgeting, and Financial Statement Preparation, Accounts Payable, and Payroll. Submit financial data to various external agencies. Property, Plant and Equipment Records. Medicare/Medicaid Cost Report Preparation. Audit Responsibilities. Regulatory Compliance. Supervise, counsel, and evaluate five full time employees. Conduct interviews for open positions and hire qualified candidates.
Director of Accounting Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with Accounting emphasis. CPA preferred. 8 years of accounting experience with acute care experience. 2-3 years of management experience. Ability to partner with other departments.
