Job Description:

Rochelle Community Hospital has an immediate need for a Health Information Manager (HIM) in Rochelle, IL. This is a great opportunity to join the leadership team of a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital. Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department to provide effective and efficient operations in record processing and problem solving Demonstrates positive human relation skills, effective leadership skills, and appropriate oral and verbal and written
communication skills
Plan, organize, and establish departmental goals as they relate to the hospital budgetary requirements. Coordinate and involve 8 FTE's in quality improvement activities and improve individual job performance Attend monthly Service Committee meetings, participate in the budget process yearly and adhere to budgetary requirements Adhere to standards mandated by regulatory agencies such as JCAHO, Illinois Department of Public Health, etc., as they relate to the medical record. Maintain mandatory educational requirements based on JCAHO, IDPH, and OSHA standards Serve as the Privacy Officer for all HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certified required 5 years prior supervisory experience in an acute care environment, hospital preferred Highly developed written and verbal skills
