I am a marketing consultant (www.courtneyrharris.com) and I need help applying for large jobs/contracts.

When a large public entity (government agency, state/federal institution, college, university, etc) announces that they are looking to hire a vendor (such as myself), instead of posting on a "job board" they will post a "request for proposal." (RFP). Sometimes it might also be referred to as a "request for quote" (RFQ) or even "request for information" (RFI). It is a very lengthy document (often 10 - 50 pages long) that gives very strict guidelines to follow when applying for the job. I need someone to handle this process for me. I need to focus on what I'm good at -- putting together marketing plans for companies and executing them diligently. I cannot spend all of my time filling out these laborious RFPs. I would never get any other work done. Not to mention, I don't have much experience filling these out and submitting them properly.

Naturally, I'm seeking someone who not only has extensive experience filling out these RFPs and submitting them, but actually enjoys the process. In exchange for your time and efforts, I will gladly offer you a generous percentage of the contract. The amount will vary but estimates can range in the tens of thousands of dollars. Sometimes in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Ideal candidate is someone who truly understands the services that I offer and has experience selling them. Please spend some time on my website before applying. Ideal candidate MUST be local. Sometimes, as part of the application process, the RFP might require the vendor to attend some type of preliminary meeting to ask questions and clarify the scope of the job. I might need you to attend on my behalf. Naturally, we would discuss beforehand so that you are as prepared as possible. Ideal candidate should also not hesitate to call the organization on the phone to ask any clarifying questions necessary.
Ideal candidate MUST be responsive to email. If we are being considered for a job, and the organization has a question and decides to email us, they should not have to wait 2 or 3 days for a response. In this age of smartphones and technology, they should hear back from us within a few hours at the least.

Ideal candidate is someone who currently has a reliable source of income and would be using this opportunity as a second source of income. It can often take several weeks before a contract is actually awarded, and the candidate must be able to sustain themselves while we are waiting to find out whether or not we got the job.
