Due to the growth in our real estate business, we are currently have an opening for a social media intern.

Possibly YOU are the right person. You will have an increasing & expanding skill set determined by today's online and Web 2.0 society. You should possess a high level of communication skills and computer knowledge including: Microsoft Office, web navigation, social media avenues, and the ability to communicate them internally and to the general public. A working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and blogging is a must. This position will provide a unique combination of business and hands-on experience that will become main-stream in the immediate future.

We are a locally owned and operated business serving the Chicagoland area for more than 10 years. All of our clients come via referrals and we are proud that we still have our first employee.

Your Responsibilities: Market Analytics and Website oversight
? Assist in web marketing effort using new technology via our website.
? Monitor National and Local Real Estate market performance and create newsletters, e-blasts, etc for internal and external communication
o Websites and Blogs related to this search:
o Inman News
o 1000 watt consulting
o SteveHarney.com/blog
o MSNBC, CNN, CHICAGOTRIBUNE, SUNTIMES, WALL STREET JOURNAL, ETC.
? Use Microsoft Office applications to gather data and place in graphical form
o Microsoft Excel to compile data into database
o Microsoft Excel to create graphs based on parameters determined by Senior Management
o Microsoft PowerPoint/Publisher to put graphs and data into presentation format to provide to clients and agents
? Monitor real estate website for editorial changes, new functionality, updates
o Editorial oversight on dynamic content, to ensure accuracy of grammar/spelling/etc
o New updates in the market place that would be necessary to implement

Social Media
? Monitor john greene Realtor company social media outlets including:
o Company Facebook page
o Company Twitter Account
o Company Blog
? Actively search Facebook , Twitter, and Google
o Key words relating to real estate inquiries in our market & surrounding communities
o Respond to inquiry based on preset instructions
o Navigate appropriate requests to company divisions based on inquiry
o Monitor competitor's social media presence & blogs
o Determine areas where we can improve upon or prove our expertise
o Relay information to senior management
? Assist Director of Operations and Brand Manager in the continuing education of agents/employees on Social Media thru workshops and 1-on-1 training
? Stay abreast to updates on Social Media and recommend new applications and upgrades to existing ones based on business effectiveness

The position is an unpaid part-time internship, approximately 12-16 hours per week.
This unpaid internship qualifies for college credit, see your college counselor for additional details.
The expected duration is approximately 12 weeks during the Summer of 2013. Strong performance could lead to a paid position for Fall of 2013.
Hours/Days are flexible, but a regular schedule is needed generally during the hours of 10-4pm Monday through Friday.
Dress code is casual and creativity is at a premium and the office is located in 60657 near the L.

The right candidate will be someone who is a self-starter, efficient with their time, and looking to expand their resume.
