Coeur Mining, one of the world’s leading silver companies and a significant gold producer, is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to work out of its corporate office based in Chicago, IL.
The Corporate Accounting Manager will be primarily responsible for the Management of corporate accounting services, including the Accounting positions, which are primarily responsible for routine accounting tasks and accounts payable. They will be responsible for preparing various accounting schedules and reconciliations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), corporate general ledger maintenance, consolidation, and financial reporting (both internal and external), and subsidiary financial reviews. In addition, the Accounting Manger may be required to prepare documentation such as briefs or summaries of new policies and accounting processes or accounting transactions to outline the proper GAAP treatment.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and be an active CPA. Applicants should have five years progressively responsible experience in business accounting and finance. Additional desired qualifications include experience with regulations and global industry.Knowledge of US GAAP and demonstrated experienc3e in interpreting situation and apply company policies and procedures. Bilingual English-Spanish an asset.
