We are looking for a fun and friendly person to work at our newly established hostel in Wrigleyville. The position is full time and will require you to complete many different tasks for the smooth operation of the hostel.
The responsibilities of the front desk managers will include:
? Checking in and out of guests and explaining the hostel rules and responsibilities, particularly the responsibilities to other tenets in the building.
? Explain quiet time curfews and rules and responsibilities regarding other guests.
? Maintaining the security of the establishment at all times.
? Updating online booking engines to ensure over and under booking of beds does not occur.
? Managing money and end of day procedures for the hostel.
? Attending to guests' questions and needs.
? Managing and ensuring that guests in the common room follow guest rules and kitchen rules.
? Ensuring kitchen and common area are clean at all times.
? Cleaning rooms and helping with the maintenance of the rooms and beds.
? Ensure guests are checking out of their rooms when they are supposed to.
? Cleaning rooms every day.
? Ensure hostel is maintained and clean at all times.
? Organize walking tours and nightlife tours for guests.
? Organize activities within the hostel for guests.
? Ensure all guests are making the most of their time in Lakeview and Chicago.
? Ensure guest satisfaction is as high as possible.
Not only must you have a high attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness for the hostel but also have the most fun, social and friendly personality.
