We are in need hourly CNAs to care for clients in Kane and DuPage County

We are a growing non-medical in-home care agency in the Far West Chicago area. We are looking for motivated, honest, dependable and caring individuals to join our team. PRIOR CAREGIVING EXPERIENCE (2 Years) IS REQUIRED.
Certified Nursing Assistant or experienced caregivers only.

The Caregivers are the back bone of the Quality of Service provided to our clients. They provide individual care ranging from giving showers, grooming, meal preparation, activities, to providing verbal medication reminders, running errands and various light housekeeping tasks. They must have the natural personality to feel empathy and consideration for Seniors and the ability to meet the physical demands of the position. We have many openings that need to be filled over the next few weeks for both hourly and live-in positions.

GENERAL DUTIES

Shower/Bathe client according to the Service Plan and or as requested by the client or the family.
Assist client in dressing and undressing.
Provide grooming assistance as needed.
Assist with continence according to Service Plan or as needed.

MEDICATION

Understand medication schedule and provide timely verbal reminders.
Document medication/s taken accurately and up to date at all times.
Notify Supervisor of low stock of any medication.
Keep Chart Notes accurate and up to date.

HOME ENVIRONMENT

Keep clean and in neat order.
Keep beds made up at all times.
Perform incidental housekeeping duties according to Service Plan

MEALS

Prepare simple meals
Serve meal, clear up afterwards.
Clean meal prep area.

ACTIVITIES/ERRANDS

Assist client to activities and to perform activities.
Take client to Doctor appointments and shopping trips as specified by Service Plan

LAUNDRY

Assist with laundry as directed or needed.
Assist as necessary with any other duties that will provide the best possible care to the client, which may not be listed in this job description.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Experience with caregiving (2 years) is required.
Must have own transportation, valid driver's license, car and auto insurance.
Must have references and a good work history.
Must pass a comprehensive set of background checks.
We are a drug free environment and you may be subject to random drug test.
