The focus of the Production Artist position is to build, create, populate and maintain the electronic page files throughout the production process from concept to release. This role requires working with Creative and Account Departments, and is responsible for the layout & design of a variety of projects including digital banners, email blasts, post-cards, posters, print, storyboards, web pages, client/prospective communications, pitches, presentations, brochures, etc. This position also requires someone able to effectively prioritize and multi-task, as many projects will be handled at once and deadlines often overlap. You should be able to work well independently or with other designers, sharing responsibility for projects when needed. Attention to detail, as well as strong written and oral communication skills are important too. Being bilingual (Spanish) or skilled in reading Spanish copy will definitely move your resume to the top of the stack.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
? Create and execute design concepts that include ads, invitations and other design projects maintaining visual appearance, usability and brand continuity
? Final production of documents. (File preparation, styles, templates, tables, table of contents, etc.).
? Review all art and graphics for consistency of design.
? Coordinate production activities.
? Perform quality checks for spelling, format and style (includes reviewing text for formatting errors and correcting before sending).
? Render computer generated drawings and graphics, and modifying existing clip art, digital images and layout according to specifications.
? Format pitches and other marketing materials, as needed.
? Retouch High Resolution images for use in print.
? Build electronic key-lines adhering to pre-press standards & practices.
? Responsibility for final mechanicals and creative development support.

Minimum Qualifications:
? 2 - 4 years experience working in advertising, design, typography, comps, and digital pre-press.
? Operational proficiency (min. 2 yrs. experience) in Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop for Macintosh
? In-depth understanding of the 4-color printing process. Other printing
techniques a plus.
? BA (preferred) in graphic design or related area.
? Ability to sustain professional demeanor despite unscheduled work, revisions and short timetables.
? Enthusiasm for the creative and technical processes.
? Desire to explore, understand and use new software and other technological
