Director of Business Development, Healthcare (Midwest)
The Director of Business Development , Healthcare (outside sales) represents the company in educating and introducing potential clients (in the acute and specialty hospital marketplaces) to Unidine through initial and repeat in person visits to aggressively develop new business.  The Director of Business Development deals with a client to understand their current and future dining needs.  During visits he/she works to educate the client with respect to the benefits of working with Unidine, clearly establishing the value of our services and how we are distinguished from our competitors.

The Director of Business Development must aggressively and continuously network to generate leads to establish prospects, and determines whether a prospect is a potential client.

Essential Functions and Key Tasks:
    Develops a strategic business plan to direct operational performance and development of new business opportunities
    Acquires leads and referrals; sends promotional letters, emails and materials to introduce Unidine
    Calls prospects and establishes on site visits; assess prospect needs and their need for Unidine
    Utilizes salesforce.com CRM in the management of territory task and activities
    Demonstrates the company’s ability to satisfy customers’ requirements and communicate the business value of our solution to the prospects
    Works with the client to fully define requirements and expectations; surveys facility with operational management to determine needs
    Develops a client pro forma with operational and corporate support management within Unidine guidelines and financial requirements
    Closes sale and obtains Client approval of Unidine contract
    Maintains prospect database and manage territory sales activity utilizing Salesforce.com
    Prepares proposals, presentations and prospect communication as required to gain new business

Qualifications /
Education and Experience:
Candidates for this critical must have an in depth knowledge of food service operations in the healthcare industry.  This position requires a minimum of 5 years of senior operations experience and 2 years within a business development role.  Candidates must have successfully demonstrated the ability to call on and develop relationships with high level “C” suite executives.  A bachelor’s degree is required.  Proficiency with computer skills such as MS Office suite is required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that offers unlimited growth opportunities and rewards achievement
