Our company is in its 15th year of supporting the entire IT infrastructures of Chicago small to medium businesses. GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the human resource activities of the company. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Maintain and develop HR policies and ensure compliance within the company
? Establish and provide training to employee on policies and procedures within the company
? Manage the recruitment process: post job openings, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and complete the hiring process, all within a timely manner
? Develop and manage employment programs, performance evaluations, benefits, equal opportunity initiatives, and training programs
? Provide counsel and assistance to employees at all levels, in accordance with company policies and procedures
? Provide guidance to management concerning employee issues
? Handle all issues involving employee complaints or questions towards the company or other employees
? Administer all employee benefit programs
? Manage company health, safety, mental health and well-being issues
? Awareness of local, state, and federal employment regulations and ensure compliance through company policies
? Record keeping in regards to employee inquiries or complaints, workman's compensation, health and medical insurance, and other state and federal regulations
? Oversee the employee termination process and carry out terminations as needed
? Mentor change within the company, team building, and leadership

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
? Manage the selection of recruitment agencies which meet company standards
? Identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
? Escalate human resource issues to the COO as needed
? Ensure consistency of existing human resource systems by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures
? Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
? Understand processes in ConnectWise by completing assigned training materials and blueprints on the ConnectWise University

? Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal employment regulations
? Proficient in general office applications, payroll and accounting software
? Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
? Skill in preparing written communications
? Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and employee trust
? Experience with ADP payroll a plus Fulton St at Ogden Ave (google map) (yahoo map)
