Our Machine Operators are responsible for the set up and operation of machines in an efficient and safe manner.
Responsibilities:
?Read prints and use measuring tools, such as tape measure and vernier, in order to set up machines
?Follow written instructions in order to set up and operate machines in an efficient and safe manner.
?Guide other operators when issues arise.
?Observe work area for any unsafe or unsafe work practices or behaviors among plant personnel.
?Monitor product for quality, maintaining quality as per specifications in order to limit scrap and order complements.
?Notify supervisor of any unsafe situation, quality issues, or complex problems, while still resolving simple issues independently without supervisor's direct involvement.
?Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area and plant at all times
?Other duties as required.
Requirements
?Must be at least 18 years of age.
?High School diploma or equivalency required
?At least 1 year of experience and/or training related to manufacturing, with preference in metal or steel industry.
?Ability to read off of blueprints
?Good understanding of mathematics and accurate measuring
?Excellent analytical skills
?Able to work under minimal supervision
?Ability to stand and sit at the work station for the entire shift. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis.
?Must be able to work variety of hours/shifts depending on production needs.
?Working knowledge of operations and safety practices within a manufacturing plant environment.
