PRODUCTION/PROCESSING MANAGER (Bolingbrook)

Do you want to work in a fast paced processing environment with excellent growth potential? A leading supplier of dehydrated vegetable ingredients is looking for a highly motived and experienced Production/Processing Manager to run our operations in the Bolingbrook area.

This position will oversee all aspects for the operation. Key areas of experience include milling, blending, granulation, quality inspection and warehousing for dehydrated vegetables. The Production/Processing Manager will also establish and ensure that key performance metrics are being achieved for the processing and warehousing operations with monthly reports to Senior Management. Extended duties include an expectation for continued process, quality and safety improvements as well as managing new equipment set up and installation. This position will have supervisory responsibility for a staff of up to 16 employees.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN FOOD PROCESSING IS A REQUIREMENT. Although oversight of warehouse functions is included with this responsibility, the individual we are looking for will be primarily engaged in the daily operation of the production lines. This is a hand's on position, requiring the ability to perform all functions of daily operations in addition to the managerial responsibilities.

The Production/Processing Manager will:
? Create, maintain and provide reports on established KPI's to Senior Management.
? Implement continuous improvements for the current and new processing lines in addition to optimizing the warehouse workflows
? Work with internal auditors to ensure food safety and HACCP plans are implemented
? Help with the design and installation of new processing lines
? Work with the planning team to maximize production throughput while achieving scheduling requirements
? Manage processing and warehouse staff
? Provide team building and leadership to the entire staff
? Lead team during customer and third party audits

Requirements:
? 3-5 year's managerial experience in a food processing plant. Dehydration processing a plus
? Strong leadership skills
? Familiarity with current regulations and GFSI standards for food processing
? Strong report writing skills
? Experienced with windows based programs SAP experience a plus
? Degree in food safety, industrial engineering or processing a plus
? Experience with equipment installation and maintenance
? Ability to lift 60 pounds, operate a forklift, stand, walk, reach, bend, lift as necessary
? Understanding of statistical process control a plus
? Possess an exceptional work ethic and organizational skills
? Understands HACCP and implementation of HACCP in a production environment.
? Possess strong communication skills
? Must be within reasonable commute distance to Bolingbrook.
