lonelybrand is looking for a Social Engagement Manager.
We're a small but awesome digital firm in the vibrant River North neighborhood of downtown Chicago. We work with medium- to large-sized national brands to execute comprehensive digital communications solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Create and execute social media strategies designed to accomplish real business objectives for multiple brands.
Daily creation and programming of social media calendars.
Monitor social media outlets and address opportunities for engagement.
Assist in distribution of digital content across social networks and key online channels.
Identify opportunities for content development based on timely events, brand-centric topics and thought leaders.
Deliver reports and conduct status meetings with key social media clients.
Online research as needed.
Weekly blog posts about the latest happenings in the social space for the lonelybrand blog.
Consistently grow positive engagement as measured by conversations, conversions and sales.
Attend key local and national industry events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or associates degree in advertising, marketing, journalism, communications, web design or development or related field.
1-3 years of experience as a Community Manager for a national consumer-facing brand or agency.
Above average research and writing skills with the ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures without extensive training.
Ability to quickly pivot and assume different writing styles and voices according to defined needs.
Ability to assist in content research and produce consistent results.
Ability to contribute to both creative and analytical discussions.
Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. This means obsessive planning, calendar-keeping and process-sharing with tools like Basecamp.
Documented online presence (send us links to your social profiles and blog or website).
Proven ability to engage an online audience both personally and on behalf of a B2B or B2C brand.
Technical Skill Requirements:
Functional knowledge and basic experience with HTML.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Proficiency with Google Docs and similar cloud-based services.
Proficiency with Constant Contact or similar e-mail marketing solutions.
Proficiency with the WordPress content management system.
Basic understanding of Google AdWords and SEO research tools.
Bonus if You Have:
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator).
Stuff We Can't Teach You But That Is Required:
A passion for digital that manifests itself through self-teaching, exploring and bringing new ideas to the table because you were thinking about them in the shower.
Hunger to push yourself to the limit in a small, scrappy agency environment.
Desire to prove yourself with quantifiable results before asking for more responsibilities (read: more moola), not the other way around.
Comfortable being uncomfortable.
Ability to work without micromanagement and stay on task.
Never missing a deadline (unless you're actually dead, in which case we understand).
This full time position reports to the Digital Strategy Lead from whom you will be challenged to learn and grow well beyond your current level.
