You should be able to handle patient's insurance questions and assist them in filling out forms.

1. Communicate effectively to the patient in regards to their insurance coverageand/or payment responsibility as well as any questions regarding their coverage.
2. Verify insurance thoroughly
3. Understand the importance of advance scheduling patients
4. Enter diagnosis into the computer after the doctor has completed the file
5. Send out bills to the insurance companies at the conclusion of EACH DAY.
6. Review EOB's upon arrival and make sure to post payments EVERY DAY.
7. Have a manila folder ready for the mail each day, date the folder, and put all EOB's received on that day in folder.
8. Communicate with insurance companies if payments are not accurate or consistent with the verified policy
9. Be knowledgeable in processing workman comp as well as personal injury cases
10. 2 years experience
11. Know the name, address, and procedure for filing grievance with insurance commissioner when claims are not honored morally, ethically, and legally
12. Set a time weekly to meet with the Doctor to have him sign reports and go over accounts receivable
13. Develop monthly financial goals and work diligently toward achieving it
14. Assist other team members.
15. Meet with the Team Leader weekly to review Accounts Receivable
16. Print and send out patient statements monthly for collections
17. Keep patient accounts current and review for collections every 90 days.
18. Must be willing to travel for mandatory training

20-35 hours per week
