Book Sorter (Skokie)

More infoWe have an opening in our warehouse for a book sorter. We run book drives and receive thousands of books of all types that need to be sorted and categorized.

Warning: The job can be monotonous for someone who doesn't like doing the same thing over and over.

However, for someone who thrives doing that, it's perfect. We expect our guys to work hard but the environment is friendly and pretty laid back.

Other responsibilities will include computer work (basically data entry regarding the books) as well as cleaning, organizing in the warehouse, shipping, pulling books from shelves, etc.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow directions
Attention to detail
Pleasant appearance and demeanor
Ready to work hard

Hours are 9-5
Starting pay is $9/hr with room to grow (we give quick raises to the right people)

Lastly, we have found in the past that we wasted lots of time with the whole screening and interview process - you never know if there's a fit until the person actually tries it out for a day or two. As such, we will be calling people and asking them to come and work the day. We will choose the best people to continue.
