Customer Service / Sales Representative (Chicago)

Each day you will be responsible for interacting with prospective customers and generating new leads. You will handle every step from managing incoming calls and data entry, to filing reports and mail support. Specific daily responsibilities include:
? Telephone interaction with existing customers
? Contact 50 -- 100 prospects per day via telephone
? Ask for referrals from new customers
? Gather and qualify customer information for each household
? Prepare quotes and presentations
? Present quotes via telephone or in person
? Follow up with prospects and clients
? Set up and establish new household accounts
? Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet usage
? Typing and data entry
? Filing reports and customer information
? Other administrative duties as assigned
Ideal qualifications:
? High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)
? Must have 2-3 years experience in sales
? Skilled with phone & in-person prospecting to set appointments with qualified prospective clients
? Knowledge & experience with insurance is highly desirable
? Insurance licensed is highly desirable
? Excellent customer service skills
? Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
? Self confident, perseverant, positive personality
? Strong written and verbal communication skills
? Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
? Strong computer, typing and grammar skills
? Strong planning and organizational skills
? Strong time management skills -- manage activities in an allotted timeframe to achieve individual and agency goals
? Fluency in Spanish, Ukrainian, or Polish is especially desirable
? Must be available to work in Chicago
