Sales & Marketing Related Responsibilities:
Builds and maintains steady base of contacts and customers by calling on local businesses and organizations
Coordinates and executes all aspects of the marketing plan for the Private Events department including but not limited to;
? Creation of event menus and packages with Executive Chef
? Design and placement of advertisements (in conjunction with the Marketing Dept.)
? Design and production of all marketing materials and mailings (in conjunction with the Marketing Dept.)
? Evaluation and analysis of event pricing schedule
Completes and maintains event contracts with all event details
Maintains customer database
Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers.
Ability to understand competitive landscape and current trends
Ensure proper communication with client post event including Thank-you notes, solicitation of feedback and holiday letters.
Event Planning Related Responsibilities:
Plan all aspects of event within the budget framework outlined by client including all rentals and third party services.

Creation of event checklists to be used by Kitchen and Restaurant staff on day of event
Liaise with client a few days before event to confirm exact numbers- communicate with Exec. Chef and Restaurant Management
Ensure that third party services such as DJ, coat check, Audio Visual, Valet or any others are reserved when required by client.
Secure equipment rentals when required by client
Manage billing and accounts receivable for all private events.
Coordinate proper staffing of event with restaurant management
On day of event, manage private event space & equipment layout and communication of event details with staff
Ensure that service of food and drink is courteous and professional
To greet the host and circulate during the course of the function to ensure availability in the event of a problem or complaint.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and benchmarking best demonstrated practices.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in a related field, 3 years Hospitality event planning/sales experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
