Popular restaurant group in downtown Chicago seeks an experienced Event Manager to head our event sales team. Applicants must have 2 years of previous sales and event planning experience.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

1. Respond to all sales inquiries in a timely fashion.

2. Pursue new business aggressively through networking and outreach by phone or in person.

3. Negotiate and close sales contracts.

4. Perform as a team player to build and maintain strong relationships with current and past clients and staff.

5. Provide excellent customer service to clients throughout the sales process from beginning to post-event follow-up.

6. Use best efforts to meet sales goals by following through on agreed sales plan. Support profitability of the company in all sales and non-sales activities. Work in a cost-effective manner.

7. Develop timely and accurate proposals. Ensure proposals are generated and submitted to clients as soon as possible. Collaborate with management and chefs when appropriate on proposals in order to meet the needs and expectations of the customer.

8. Compile proposals using existing event software including menus, beverage information, and following company practices and in a timely manner.

9. Sales and management of all events.

10. Obtain signed contracts, deposits and final payments from client. Provide all necessary documentation and information to accounting department and assist as needed to ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.

11. Attends events to greet customers and ensure guest satisfaction.

12. Build and protect brand and brand Image

13. Manage and coordinate all event marketing, advertising and promotional activities as directed by the owners

14. Build relationships with key organizations as well as local media and advertising partners
