Meyer Corporation U.S., the leader in the United States cookware and culinary products market, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to develop, sell and implement retailer specific merchandising programs to key accounts and small independent retailers. Accounts include Sears, Kmart, Burlington, Meijer, and Shopko among others. The right person for this position preferably will be located in the Chicago/Midwest region of the country.

Essential Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
?Maintain regular account communication by phone and on-site visits to retail stores.
?Evaluate planning strategies, analyze product sales in relationship to the planned forecast and promote new products.
?Ensure that any shipping problems are resolved i.e. product substitution.
?Work with in-store teams to develop programs to improve sales including incentives, fixture needs, etc.
?Attend planning meetings with customers for Fall and Spring seasons.
?Prepare/review merchandising plan-o-grams, assortments, floor maps and floor location with buying office.
?Responsible for negotiating and maintaining cooperative advertising allowances/agreements for accounts in the territory.
?Resolve any and all accounting issues.
?Review and generate customer reports for every account.
?Attend monthly meetings with the Regional Sales Manager and attend National Sales meeting twice a year.
?Attend major trade shows twice a year and assist with the booth set up.
?All other related duties as directed by the Regional Manager.

Requirements
?Requires a bachelor degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations or equivalent experience.
? Requires 3 years of prior experience in retail and/or sales environment.
?Must be able to work with and develop a relationship with the account buyer and other management personnel.
?Must be able to present products, programs and ideas to potential buyer of Meyer product.
?Must possess an overall knowledge of buying and manufacturing functions in the housewares environment.
?Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet and e-mail required.
?Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with Meyer employees and retail customers on a continuous basis.
?Must maintain a current knowledge and understanding of Meyer products.
?Home office based in Dallas area or Chicago/Midwest region is required.
?Must possess strong negotiating skills.
?Must be able to interface professionally with all levels of staff and outside contacts.
?Must possess superior decision making capacity and ability to exercise good judgment.
?Must be able to travel for meetings, account visits and industry shows as necessary.
?Must be detail oriented and possess time management skills.
?Must possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
?Must be able to communicate effectively in English both in verbal and written formats.
?Must possess a valid driver's license in state of residency.
?Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of hands, driving cars, bending over, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, fine dexterity and lifting up to 30 lbs.
?Hours and days are primarily Monday through Friday with some overtime and weekends required.
?Individual in this position will be required to drive to visit customers and will also travel extensively.
?Must possess the mental and physical capacities to perform the job duties.
