That's why our program is so selective -- in 2013, only 8% of all Teaching Fellows applicants successfully met our standards for admission, training and entry into the classroom.

Full Salary and Benefits: While pursuing licensure, Teaching Fellows work full-time at school in the Chicago Public Schools district and earn a full teacher's salary plus comprehensive benefits. Five Stars Academy is a fully accredited Elementary School located 80 miles west of Panama City in the Province of Cocle. We are in walking distance of the Pacific Ocean. We are an English speaking school with all classes being taught in English. We have international students from Canada, United States, Europe, and South America.

Panama is located in Central America, bordered by Costa Rica and Columbia. It is a country of staggering beauty, immense variety of wildlife, mountains, cloud forests and rainforest, Pacific and Caribbean beaches. Our school is located in the beach resort community of Cocle. There is a large Canadian expat community here along with a growing United States population.

This is a salaried teaching position. Teachers share housing in a condominium at the Playa Blanca Beach Resort. Internet, cable T.V., and transportation to the school are provided. Panama has an extensive bus transportation system that is easily accessible and inexpensive. Panama has an overall low cost of living expenses.

The salary is $1,000.00 per month (based on 10.5 months) plus shared housing (own room and bathroom) and 2 round trip tickets.
